Andrew Hewitt recently completed a week-long residency at the Orange Conservatorium of Music in Central Western New South Wales. He was one of 13 musicians with mild to moderate disabilities who got together from all over the country. The result of the week was an amazing performance on a Friday evening that was incredibly well received by a large crowd of music fans.

On speaking to Andy the Saturday immediately after he said he was “Knackered – but everything went really well.” He found the week challenging but rewarding and was happy to have made some connections with musicians he is looking forward to working with in the future.

Andy’s new custom bass drum head made it’s debut at the culminating gig. It features a design created by Andy himself which is a true reflection of his creative abilities and pride in what he does… In his own words – “I’m a professional drummer… who just happens to have a disability…”

Spot on Andy! …And Hammertime Custom is proud to be on board! – Stay tuned for Andy’s new custom snare drum!…
